Why Madrid?
Madrid, the city of contrasting styles
Madrid is the Spanish capital and the country’s largest city by population. It’s a highly cosmopolitan destination that’s home to mouthwatering food, luxury shopping, and some of the world’s finest museums.
People looking for culture will have much to look forward to in Madrid. Aside from its many galleries and exhibit spaces, Madrid is home to three of the world’s most important museums – the Museo del Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Reina Sofía. Major works from some of Spain’s most celebrated artists like Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Diego Velázquez, and Joan Miró are on display there.
CAFÉS
My favorite cafés in Madrid
Il Tavolo Verde cafe
It’s a rustic style café with a farmhouse feel, where the furniture is antique and recycled. The café has a homey feel, and is the perfect place to sit with a good book and enjoy a slice of their heavenly organic carrot cake!

All food and drink items are homemade, and made from organic ingredients.
Salvador Bachiller Cafe
It has a rooftop garden that serves creative craft cocktails, desserts, and delicious teas and smoothies. The Secret Garden is the perfect place for a romantic date, or a casual outing with friends!

There are several throughout the city with the speakeasy café, but my favorite is the one in the center near Puerta del Sol.
Cafe Coca Mocca
Get your cameras ready for Coca Mocca! This all pink cafe in Madrid is an instagram lover’s dream. The interior is decorated with pink plush seats, a wall of flowers, and a pink telephone booth. Even the plates are pink!
